“Slow down, you move too fast. Gotta make the morning last” ……these lines from a 1960’s song explain what ‘Cook Island time’ allows you on this tour. On our itinerary you can slow down to a crawl in the afternoons: take a nanna nap, snorkel in the lagoon right in front of your room, stroll along the beach to ‘Black Rock,  join in the many resort activities, or simply soak in the sun and pool.  Then why not meet for 5pm  Cocktail Happy hour? And these thirsty  sisters did this , sharing their stories, viewing sunset over the lagoon, until dinner was calling. We did eat too much of course!  Full transparency - you might have to rise early on a few days to take in the ‘Raro’ experiences. But can you really complain about a fun cruise snorkelling and then being entertained on an uninhibited isle, touring the island ‘from the mountains to the sea’, or meeting the super-friendly locals?   We attended a church service, were entertained at the local primary school, visited a Highland Paradise, experienced a progressive dinner in three local homes, whilst learning about this Polynesian culture, so linked to the NZ Māoris from my home country.  Always with the greeting Kia Orana -hello, or may you live long, or may you have a long and fulfilling life. I trust the Cook Island sisters did return fulfilled and rejuvenated from this beautiful island and its warm and friendly people. Fulfilled also from this SWT group of kind, caring, inclusive, fun loving women. Thank you, meitaki, it was a delight. …and please make mine a Pina colada!
