There's something about our Free & Easy Bali that brings out the nurturing, supportive side of women.  A great way to experience the beauty of Bali, including Ubud and surrounds. From the minute we met at the airport, it was excitement, laughter and chats all around; the magic of new friendships had begun to weave its path. Our home in Ubud for the next nine nights was a small, family-run, boutique property with the gorgeous pool quickly becoming the Sisterhood meeting point.  If it wasn't the pool, it was Lily's the nearby Spa where many a sister could be seen enjoying a variety of treatments and pampering. Optional sightseeing enjoyed included a special purification ceremony at Tirta Empul (and the making of our own offerings), a visit to a coffee plantation (mangosteen tea for me!), mystical Batakaru Temple, a visit to UNESCO world heritage Jatiluwih Rice Paddy terraces, the Temple on the Lake and Virgin Beach for an afternoon of swimming and relaxing. During free time, many girls were happy to buddy up and wander through the Ubud markets for shopping, enjoy a batik painting class and jewellery-making class. On one free day, a group of us went to Ulu Petanu Waterfalls for a swim whilst others were happy to visit Fresh Spa for more pampering. Each night, we would regroup and enjoy dinner together at some of the popular restaurants within walking distance from our fabulously located accommodation. A visit to Prana Spa and sunset watching at the popular Gado Gado in Seminyak were also a highlight. What I loved the most about our tour were the conversations and the vulnerability shared amongst us all. A safe space to share life stories, hopes and dreams and I thank all the girls for embracing new friendships and just having an amazing, free and easy adventure.
