In September, a group of six adventurous ladies departed from Sydney on a journey to a place many haven’t yet discovered—an island so pristine and untouched that it felt like stepping back in time. Just two hours east of Australia, Lord Howe Island awaited us with its unspoiled beauty and tranquil charm. Little did we know, the wonders we were about to experience were beyond our wildest expectations.

As we arrived, we were greeted by the island's serene atmosphere, with no high-rise buildings, no traffic jams, and not a single tourist trap in sight. Instead, we found ourselves surrounded by lush greenery, secluded white sand beaches, and a UNESCO World Heritage landscape teeming with life. Each day unfolded with a sense of relaxation, adventure, and awe as we explored the island in various ways.

Our days were filled with exploration—boat trips along the crystal-clear waters, snorkelling adventures over vibrant coral reefs, and scenic walks through the island’s verdant forests with breathtaking ocean views. For those seeking a more active experience, bike rides around the island’s 9km of road provided a perfect way to take in the natural beauty. A highlight for many was indulging in the island’s culinary offerings, with fresh local Kingfish straight from the ocean gracing our plates at mealtime.

Beyond the activities, we also had the privilege of learning about the island’s rich history and its significance as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Educational presentations gave us deeper insight into the island’s conservation efforts and its unique biodiversity.

Each day offered a new perspective—whether by bike, bus, boat, walking, or simply relaxing by the water as we soaked in the sunset. Afternoons were left free for us to indulge in whatever we loved most, whether it was lounging on the beach, taking a quiet walk, or simply enjoying the serene surroundings.

Lord Howe Island is not just a place for adventure; it's a place to recharge. With no internet, it was easy to disconnect from the world and truly appreciate the island's natural beauty. The local community, including many young people working remotely, added to the island’s friendly and welcoming vibe. With only 400 residents and a limited number of visitors allowed at a time, the island never felt crowded, making it a peaceful retreat.

This island truly has it all—seclusion, beauty, outdoor activities, and a deep connection to nature. Lord Howe Island offers an idyllic escape for women looking to unwind, reconnect with nature, and experience a part of the world that has remained pure and untouched.

Discovered by accident in 1788 by the British HMS Supply Ship, Lord Howe Island remains a hidden gem, preserved with pride by its people. A place where time stands still and nature reigns supreme. Whether you're biking along its quiet roads, exploring its coral reefs, or simply enjoying a peaceful sunset, this island will captivate your heart. For those seeking tranquillity and adventure in equal measure, Lord Howe Island is a dream come true.

Thanks for a great trip girls.
