“Passport Free” Mystery Beach Mini Break - October 2024 - Kathy Lang - Hostess Round Up

Nothing like a little intrigue to whet you appetite to book a tour. At least we knew it was a beach destination, and after reading the blurb, most guessed at had to be Queensland. They were right, and we packed for a five day weekend to the Novotel Sunshine Coast in Twin Waters.

The group, in true Sisterhood fashion, made the most of the escape north with half day trips to Noosa’s famous Hastings Street and also to the bustling Eumundi Market, with of course retail therapy in mind. After such extreme exercise, the Sunshine Sister required, rest, relaxation and then refreshment in the very comfortable Sola Pool Bar. Some did also ‘recreate’ with walks around the lagoon, to the beach, and through the lush resort gardens. Only Leanne was intrepid enough to kayak on the lagoon and she represented us well!

The High Tea in beautiful surroundings, was a highlight, and most ‘took it for the team’, as getting through so much food was quite a challenge.

I am always amazed how a group of women, the majority of whom have never met before, can get to know each other so quickly, and genuinely get on. The Sunshine Sisters, as I named them, were just that - warm and bright, embracing what they each had in common, and enjoying this refreshing short break in a warm, relaxing and safe environment. 

Thanks Sisters - I hope we meet again on another Sisterhood sojourn.
