Drawing on the strengths of their collection, this exhibition offers a rare opportunity to see 61 paintings by some of Europe’s most revered artists, including Botticelli, Titian, Rembrandt, Vermeer, El Greco, Velázquez, Goya, Turner, Constable, Van Dyck, Gainsborough, Renoir, Cézanne, Monet, Gauguin and Van Gogh.

Day 1 - Saturday 12 June 2021

Melbourne - Canberra

Welcome to Sisterhood Womens Travel.  Meet your Tour Hostess at the Melbourne Aiport for your short flight to Canberra.  Upon our arrival we'll visit the highly acclaimed Portrait Gallery. Here you'll enjoy entry into the current Australian Love Stories exhibition.  From the enduring to the forbidden, romantic to platonic, the unrequited, obsessive, scandalous or creative. Swoon over more than 200 artworks from across photography, painting, works on paper, small sculpture AND an immersive glass installation.

Think Bob and Blanche, Kath and Kim, Jimmy and Jane Barnes, Nick and Susie Cave, Nell and Kylie Kwong. Think iconic artists like John Brack, Vincent Namatjira, Del Kathryn Barton, Davida Allen, Charles Blackman and more! See old favourites alongside loans from private and public collections and new works commissioned exclusively for the exhibition.

With time for lunch before a short walk to the nearby National Gallery of Australia for your timed entry into the Botticelli to Van Gogh Masterpiece Exhibition (on loan from the National Gallery of London).  It's the first time in its near 200-year history that the National Gallery, London has toured an exhibition of works internationally. Day 2 - Sunday 13 June 2021

Canberra - Home (B)

After breakfast and check out this morning you'll visit Parliament House with a design view in mind exploring the symbolic aspects and the vision of the building's architect.  Continuing onto the Australian War Memorial for a visit to the museum galleries and the commerative area.  In 2016, the AWM was voted Australia's Number One Landmark.  With time for lunch before we return to the Canberra airport for our flight home.  What a whirlwind trip to the Nation's Capital.  Thanks for joining us for your latest adventure and we look forward to welcoming you back.
