Melbourne - Paris (meals in flight)
Welcome to Sisterhood Womens Travel. Join your Sisterhood Hostess and fellow travellers at the Melbourne Airport for your flight to Paris.
Sit back, relax and enjoy the airline in flight hospitalilty and entertainment as we head towards the 'City of Love'.
Day 2 - Thursday 15 June 2023
Welcome to Paris (D)
Welcome to Paris, the City of Love and the fashion capital of the world, these nicknames are far from enough to reveal all of Paris.
Paris is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is known worldwide for the Louvre Museum, Notre-Dame cathedral and the Eiffel Tower. All of these monuments we will see on our guided panoramic tour following our arrival. Our romance with the city will begin here!
We check into our hotel with the remainder of the day at leisure.
In the evening we'll enjoy a Welcome Dinner within walking distance of our hotel.

Day 3 - Friday 16 June 2023
Paris - Versailles - Giverny - Paris (B)
Today we make a visit to Giverny where the famous impressionist Claude Monet lived for 43 years. We visit his house and gardens this afternoon which were the inspiration for many of his works.
We then continue our exploring with a full day guided tour of Versailles Palace and Gardens, whose origins date back to the 17th century, including a hunting lodge, seat of power and now a museum which spreads over 800 hectares.
Returning to Paris with dinner at leisure tonight.

Day 4 - Saturday 17 June 2023
Paris (B, D)
This morning, we'll enjoy a Paris walking food tour visiting various patisseries and fromageries with tastings along the way.
In the afternoon we are free at leisure to explore or just sit at a local cafe people watching and practicing our French with the locals.
This evening we enjoy a dinner cruise on the River Seine. An evening we will never forget as we cruise with the Eiffel Tower providing the most beautiful backdrop against the romantic night sky.

Day 5 - Sunday 18 June 2023
Paris (B)
This morning we'll enjoy a Coco Chanel walking tour with a local guide, visiting the main sights related to the famous fashion icon.
During the afternoon we'll enjoy a self-guided visit to the Louvre, the world's most visited museum and a historic landmark in Paris.
This evening, for those who have booked, we enjoy the Moulin Rouge Dinner and Show.
Dinner at leisure tonight for those not coming to the Moulin Rouge.

Day 6 - Monday 19 June 2023
Paris - Chenonceau - Paris (B,L)
Today, we drive out to enjoy a full day of touring the beautiful Loire Valley, known as the Garden of France.
We visit the fairy tale Chenonceau castle, stopping for lunch in Amboise before our visit to Chambord castle. These two castles will transport us back to the 11th Century with their fascinating and interesting history.
We return to Paris later this afternoon with dinner at leisure tonight.

Day 7 - Tuesday 20 June 2023
Paris - Avgnon - Uchaux (B,D)
Au revoir Paris as we travel by train to Avignon. Once there, we explore this gorgeous walled city which is protected by UNESCO. With stunning architecture and a steep history, we visit the Palais des Papes, a historical palace and one of the largest and most important medieval gothic buildings in Europe. We'll also view Pont Benezet, the gorgeous medieval bridge set over the Rhone River, a lovely photo opportunity.
We then travel to Uchaux for check in to our stunning Chateau de Massillan a 16th century chateau surrounded by suburb grounds.
Dinner tonight onsite. A truly beautiful getaway in Provence.

Day 8 - Wednesday 21 June 2023
Uchaux - Pont du Gard (B)
Today, we'll enjoy a visit to Pont du Gard, an ancient Roman aquaduct built in the first century AD.
We then head to Chateauneuf du Pape in the Rhône wine region in southeastern France where we will visit the musee Brotte with a discovery visit and and wine tasting before enjoying a chocolate and wine pairing session - Chocolaterie Castelain

Day 9 - Thursday 22 June 2023
Uchaux - Les Baux de Provence - Aix en Provence (B)
This morning we visit St Remy de Provence including the Glanum archaeological site and St Paul de Mausole cloister. In the afternoon, travel to les Baux de Provence to explore this quaint village before continuing on to Aix en Provence for dinner.
Aix en Provence is the birthplace of Post-Impressionist painter Paul Cezanne. The white limestone mountain Saint Victoire overlooking the city as well as the surrounding countryside were frequent subjects of his works.
Dinner tonight is in local restaurant.

Day 10 - Friday 23 June 2023
Aix en Provence - Sault - Aix en Provence (B,L)
This morning we make our way to a local market. Markets are a way of life in Provence, food is taken very seriously and is reflected in the delicious, lush seasonal fruit and vegatables on offer. Stylish clothes, hats and straw baskets and jewellery all make for great presents to take home.
After our market visit, we'll enjoy a traditional cooking class which includes lunch.
This afternoon a guided city tour of Aix en Provence where we view the main sights including Saint Sauveur cathedral.

This morning, our day begins with a Provence experience tour including the Senanque abbey, a visit to the Musee de la Lavande museum and lastly the Distilleries Aroma'Plantes in Sault with time to explore this delightful village.

Day 12 - Sunday 25 June 2023
Aix en Provence - Cannes - Nice (B,D)
Today we travel to Cannes, the resort town in the French Riviera, famous for its glamourous international film festival before continuing on to the chic coastal city of Nice.
Nice sets on the pebbly shores of the Baie des Anges. Founded by the Greeks and later a retreat for 19th century European elite this city has long been attractive to artists.
Tonight we'll enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 13 - Monday 26 June 2023
Nice - Grimaud - St Tropez - Nice (B)
Today we venture out on a day trip to Grimaud, Port Grimaud and St Tropez. Grimaud is a nearby village with historical links to the Grimaldi family.
St Tropez is a nearby coastal town, popular with artists and jet setters showcasing beautiful beaches.

Day 14 - Tuesday 27 June 2023
Nice - St Paul de Vence - Grasse - Nice (B)
Today we'll enjoy a visit to the preserved medieval village of St Paul de Vence likened to a quaint open museum filled with modern art galleries tucked beside its calade streets.
We'll then continue onto Grasse, a town known for its long established perfume industry. We will visit the famous Fragonard perfume factory with the opportunity to purchase some of their fragrances.
We then return to Nice where dinner is at leisure tonight.

Nice - Lyon (B, D)
This morning, we'll enjoy a guided tour of Nice taking in the main sights before travelling to Lyon via train.
Upon arrival, we'll transfer to our hotel with the remainder of the day at leisure.

This morning, we'll enjoy a guided city tour of Lyon including a visit to Fourviere Basilica and Maison des Canuts.
We then have the afternoon free to explore at leisure. Sitting on the junction of the Rhone and Saone rivers, Lyon reflects 2000 years of history from the Roman Amphitheatre des Trois Gaules, medieval and Renaissance architecture in Vieux Lyon to the modern Confluence district.

Lyon - Beaune (B, D)
This morning we depart Lyon and travel to Beaune. We have an afternoon tour to enjoy the main sights including Les Hospices de Beaune recognised by its colourful geometric-patterned tiled roof.
Beaune is a walled city in the centre of the Burgundy winemaking region of France and is a delightul village to explore.

This morning we'll head to the local market for a tasting of local products. Few events in France can rival the local Saturday market, and Beaune is no exception. The Saturday market in Beaune is definitely an event that should be at the top of your list of things to do in Burgundy. A perfect place to buy supplies for a perfect picnic lunch/dinner.
This afternoon we enjoy a winery tour with various tastings included.

This morning starts with a visit to Moutarderie Fallot (Mustard making factory) before travellng to Dijon.
Dijon is the capital city of the historical Burgundy region in eastern France, one of the country’s principal wine-making areas. It’s known for its traditional mustard, vineyard tours, autumn gastronomic fair and building styles ranging from Gothic to Art Deco.
We explore the town before travelling to Troyes for check in and dinner tonight at our hotel.

Troyes - Reims (B, D)
Troyes is a medieval old town featuring narrow, cobbled streets lined with colourful, half-timbered houses, mostly dating from the 16th century We explore the town this morning before travelling to Reims; the unofficial capital of the Champagne wine-growing region.

This morning, after a visit to the Reims Cathedral. No visit to Reims is complete without 'popping' into to a Champagne House OOh, la, la!

Tonight a farewell dinner at a local restaurant to celebrate our amazing French experience shared with friends!
