**TIPPING**
Local tipping is customary in Africa. Sisterhood Womens Travel tipping system on all Group Tours involves passengers contributing to a kitty which is paid to the tour hostess at the beginning of the tour who then distributes it daily to service providers on your behalf. This avoids the need for you to consider individual tipping situations daily throughout your trip. The estimated amount for your tour is USD200.00 and this will confirmed in your final documentation.

Moderate Fitness Level Required
A moderate level of fitness will be required for this tour due to the length and overall physicality of the itinerary. You can expect to walk more than 10,000 steps a day on more challenging terrain and for longer periods. VINA Visas obtain travel visas on your behalf by submitting a completed travel visa application, and other required documents, to embassies or consulates.

Day 1 - Tuesday 1 April 2025
Melbourne - Kenya (Meals Inflight)
Welcome to Sisterhood Womens Travel! Meet your Sisterhood Tour Hostess and fellow travellers at the Melbourne Airport for our flight to Kenya.
Sit back, relax and enjoy the inflight entertainment of our airlines as we head towards Nairobi. JAMBO - KARIBU!!
Day 2 - Wednesday 2 April 2025
Melbourne - Kenya (D)
Upon arriving in Kenya, we'll be warmly met with a traditional, unique and special welcome (bubbly, wet towels and presentation of an authentic safari hat and a beautiful authentic canvas pouch filled with safari essentials).
We have the afternoon free to relax before our welcome dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant.

Day 3 - Thursday 3 April 2025
Nairobi Sightseeing (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we begin our exploration by visiting the Giraffe Centre, an educational program and part of the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife. The centre has a small herd of Rothschild's giraffes, which are an endangered species. Here, we will get a chance to feed these beautiful animals.
Then, we move on to the David Sheldrick elephant orphanage. Opened for just one hour a day and set in the Nairobi National Park, the orphanage will give us a rare opportunity to come close to baby elephants, their ages varying from a few months up to 3 years. Each orphaned elephant is assigned its own keeper who acts as a replacement mother and will stay with the elephant until it is re-introduced into the wild. The keeper also talks about the elephants, where they came from, how they are getting on and how some of the previous orphans are progressing.
We enjoy lunch at the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden, a home supported by the Manji Family through their family foundation and have the opportunity to interact with the children living at this home.
We return to our hotel, with time to freshen up before enjoying dinner with the Manji Family.

Day 4 - Friday 4 April 2025
Nairobi - Lake Nakuru National Park (B,L,D)
Today after breakfast, we drive to Lake Nakuru with a brief stop at the Rift Valley viewpoint. We'll arrive at our lodge for a very warm welcome and lunch.
This afternoon, our first game view to some interesting places including the Baboon Cliff, the Lion Hill, and the Mau escarpment. The park is one of the best game-viewing parks with various animal species, including prides of lion, Cape buffalo, waterbucks, wart hogs, the endangered Rothschild giraffes, the black and white Rhino, the Burchell’s zebra, impalas, and the elusive leopard, among many others. Over 300 bird species have been recorded here too. Lake Nakuru National Park is one of the best places to see the endangered black and white Rhino.
We return to our lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 - Saturday 5 April 2025
Lake Nakuru National Park - Maasai Mara Game Reserve (B,L,D)
Today we enjoy an early breakfast before heading towards the Maasai Mara National Reserve, which offers wonderful scenery and plenty of game. It is one of the only regions left in Kenya where we'll see animals in the same super abundance that existed a century ago. We'll arrive at our Lodge in time for lunch before an afternoon game drive. Be on the lookout for the famous Big Five, including the lion, Cape buffalo, the savannah elephant, black rhino and the elusive leopard. The vast savannah grasslands stretch as far as the eye can see and are also home to impalas, maasai giraffes, waterbucks, warthogs, gazells, topis and the resident wildebeests.

Day 6 - Sunday 6 April 2025
Game Viewing in the Masaai Mara (B,L,D)
For those enjoying the spectacular Masai Mara Balloon Safari, it will be an early start. After your 'birds eye view' of the Maasi Mara plains you'll enjoy a bubbly bush breakfast before rejoining the rest of the group to enjoy a full-day game drive.
Be on the lookout for the famous big five, the most sought after in the early 20th century, when Kenya was a hunters' paradise. These include the lion, Cape buffalo, the savannah elephant, black rhino and the elusive leopard. The vast savannah grasslands stretch as far as the eye can see and is home to impalas, Masai giraffes, waterbucks, warthogs, Thompson and Grant's gazelles, topis, and the resident wildebeests, among many others.
Game drives offer the unforgettable opportunity to enjoy the diversity of animals and birds living permanently in the Maasai Mara, as well as many migratory species and to also learn more about the Maasai people, proud pastoralists and warriors, many of whom still retain their traditional nomadic lifestyle. You'll have the chance to interact with these nomadic people and learn about their customs and traditions. We continue our game driving before

Day 7 - Monday 7 April 2025

This morning, breakfast is followed by an early departure with boxed lunches as we head to the Kenya/Tanzania border, where our driver guide will help us through the immigration procedures. We continue to Serenity Eco Resort, situated on the beautiful shores of Lake Victoria, the largest freshwater lake in Africa and the second largest in the world, to arrive late afternoon/early evening.
The massive 6.5 million-hectare Lake Victoria is shared by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. Known as one of Africa’s ‘Great Lakes', it is world-renowned as the source of the Nile and is Africa’s largest lake. Its waters are rich in fish life with shimmering shoals of colourful cichlids and large Nile Perch, sought after by the local fishermen.

Day 8 - Tuesday 8 April 2025
Mwanza, The Serengeti (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we'll check out of our rooms by 10 am and spend a relaxed morning at our resort taking in the beauty of Lake Victoria. You may want to participate in the optional activities offered by the resort, such as canoeing or visiting the local village.
After lunch, we'll depart for the world-famous Serengeti National Park, continuing with a game drive en route to arrive at our lodge for check-in and dinner.
Covering an area of 14,763 square kilometers, the world-famous Serengeti National Park is Tanzania's oldest park and one of the world's last great wildlife refuges. The Serengeti ecosystem supports the greatest remaining concentration of plains in Africa, including more than three million large mammals. The Central Serengeti forms part of the great wildebeest and zebra migration, providing an ideal habitat for a variety of wildlife such as giraffe, impala, waterbuck, hippo, elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, hyena, jackal, serval and much more.

Day 9 - Wednesday 9 April 2025
The Serengeti (B,L,D)
For those enjoying the spectacular Serengeti Balloon Safari, it will be an early start. After your 'birds eye view' of the plains of the Serengeti plains, you'll enjoy a bubbly bush breakfast before rejoining the rest of the group to enjoy a full-day game drive.
In the early morning and evening light, the Serengeti landscape is stunningly beautiful. The rolling plains and grasslands, stretching far into the horizons as far as the eye can see, are home to the black-manned lion, the savannah elephant, the cape buffalo, wildebeest, the elusive leopard, cheetah, the spotted & stripped hyena, rhino, topi, Burchell’s zebra, Masai giraffe among many others. Serengeti National Park never disappoints. There are many varieties of bird and wildlife species in this game reserve. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay.
Later in the evening we will enjoy a group cooking lesson.

Day 10 - Thursday 10 April 2025
Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Conservation Area (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we'll depart for Ngorongoro with a stop at the Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world, to learn about human evolution. We'll enjoy an on-site talk on the interpretation of the gorge by the resident guide and then continue to our lodge in time for lunch. This afternoon, we can relax or enjoy some of the lodge facilities, including a farm tour/nature walk, enjoy the beauty of the grounds on a bike (available onsite), or simply relax.

Day 11 - Friday 11 April 2025
Ngorongoro Conservation Centre (B,L,D)
Today after breakfast, we'll descend some 610 metres into the crater, which is home to an abundance of wildlife and a photographer's paradise, for a full day of game-viewing drive with a picnic box lunch.
Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact caldera in the world. Some of the wildlife that are permanent residents of the crater floor are prides of lions, herds of Cape buffalo, impala, Thompson gazelles, rhino, giraffes, golden & black-backed jackals, zebra, cheetah, leopards and the spotted hyena freely roam on the crater floor plains. Known for its natural variety & breathtaking beauty, there are few places on earth where such a tremendous diversity of landscapes exists inside a region this size. Apart from its wildlife riches, the crater is also of great archaeological importance, with the remains of some of mankind’s earliest ancestors discovered in the area, also home to hundreds of bird species, refreshing in the small lakes on the crater floor.
Later, we will enjoy a Ngorongoro Crater Walk. After driving to a scenic and remote trailhead, the walk along the Crater rim will take us through gorgeous foliage, past colourful wild flowers and lush trees unique to the Ngorongoro Highlands. The walk is particularly rewarding for montane forest birds, including the olive sunbird, cinnamon-chested bee-eater, and European roller. You could also come across larger fauna, such as giraffe, zebra and elephant (which is why you are accompanied by an armed ranger at all times).
Return late afternoon to our lodge with time to freshen up before dinner.

Day 12 - Saturday 12 April 2025
Ngorongoro - Amboseli National Park (B,L,D)
We'll enjoy an early morning breakfast before departing via the Namanga border, where we will clear immigration formalities returning back into Kenya and head to Amboseli National Park.
We'll arrive at the lodge to a very warm welcome and enjoy a late lunch. Later, we'll depart on an afternoon game-viewing drive. Amboseli is home to lions, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, baboon, gazelle hippo and wildebeest, among many others. It is also an ornithological paradise with over 400 species of birds, flora and fauna and some of the most soul-searing views in Africa.

Day 13 - Sunday 13 April 2025
Amboseli National Park (B,L,D)
Our day starts with a morning game drive. Amboseli offers some of the most breathtaking views in Africa and is one of the best places for a photogenic view of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting). This is best seen on a clear day. Amboseli National Park provides the classic Hollywood image of Africa. The park is famous for large herds of giant elephants.
Returning to the Lodge for breakfast before visiting Patinaam Osim Women's Co-Operative, where we'll learn all about this inspiring not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to create an ecosystem that appreciates, harnesses and amplifies the voices, skills, knowledge and resilience of indigenous children, women and youth. A special treat today.
Returning to our lodge with the opportunity for an afternoon game drive.
Our farewell dinner tonight - let's celebrate fabulous memories together as we spend our last night in Africa.

Day 14 - Monday 14 April 2025
Amboseli National Park (B)
This morning, we'll have an early breakfast. Unbelievable but true, our African Safari has come to an end. Bid farewell to the wonderful lodge manager and the team and drive back to Nairobi to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for our homeward flight.
Sit back, relax and enjoy the inflight entertainment of our airlines as we head towards home.
