***For nights 5 - 7 during the Annapurna trek, accommodation will be twin-share only staying in small teahouses with local families***  
Teahouse accommodation is basic but clean and is a unique experience when walking the Annapurna Trail.

Local tipping is appreciated in Nepal.  Sisterhood Womens Travel tipping system involves passengers contributing to a kitty which is paid to the tour hostess at the beginning of the tour who then distributes it to service providers on your behalf.  The estimated amount for your tour is  AUD $120.00 and this will be confirmed in your final documentation.

Challenging Fitness Rating - A high level of fitness is required for these tours. You can expect to participate in challenging walks for longer periods often on uneven and steep terrain. Prepare to be active for most of each day. You must be capable of boarding and disembarking coaches, trains and boats unaided and at times handle your luggage. Itinerary

Day 1 - Thursday 9 October 2025

Melbourne - Kathmandu (in-flight meals)

Welcome to Sisterhood Womens Travel. 

Meet your Hostess and fellow travellers at Melbourne Airport for your flight to Kathmandu Nepal. 

Sit back, relax and enjoy the inflight entertainment.

Upon arrival into Kathmandu, we'll meet our tour guide and transfer to Boudhanath, the Buddhist heart of Kathmandu.

Stay in the serenity of Hotel Dolmaling – a boutique hotel with its own monastery, morning yoga, swimming pool and very comfortable rooms, only a walking distance from the stupa.

Day 2 - Friday 10 October 2025

Boudhanath (B, D)

Good Morning Boudhanath

This morning – explore Boudhanath Stupa, one of the biggest and most auspicious Buddhist temples in the world. Receive a special blessing from a local monk in the Guru Lhakhang Monastery. Experience the pilgrims, pigeons, Himalayan herbs, tealights and endless magic.

Later, we can have a Tibetan garden lunch (optional)

Late afternoon we experience Pashupatinath (the Varanasi of Nepal) on the banks of the sacred river Bagmati, the oldest and holiest Hindu temple in Kathmandu where the burning ghats and rites of cremation celebrate the Hindu cycle of life. Both Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Welcome Dinner on our favourite local rooftop restaurant overlooking the magical stupa in the evening glimmer.

Day 3 - Saturday 11 October 2025

Boudhanath - Nagarkot (B, D)

This morning why not take a sunrise stroll around the Boudhanath Stupa (optional)

Around midday, we'll transfer to the mountain village of Nagarkot (2,175m), where fresh mountain air and plentiful pine trees will embrace us on arrival. Nagarkot is famous for its panoramic views over the Everest Range of the Himalayas and our beautiful country hotel has a pole position from where to admire the mountains in front of us and nature’s serenity all around.

All rooms have balconies with mountain views.

In the afternoon we have the option of a forest walk for a couple of hours, or for any Sisters who just feel like relaxing, our hotel also has a beautiful spa, sauna and pool for pampering the body and soul.

Dinner in our hotel tonight overlooking the breathtaking valley.

Day 4 - Sunday 12 October 2025

Nagarkot – Pokhara (B, D)

Wake up in the morning to the peaceful mountain village vibes surrounded by nature.

Nagarkot is famous for its immaculate sunrises and on a clear morning, the peak of Mt Everest will indeed be there somewhere. After breakfast, we'll have the option to trek the “Nagarkot Panoramic Hiking Trail” (moderate, 3-4hrs) 

Late morning, we be transferred by minibus to Kathmandu Domestic Airport for an afternoon flight to Pokhara.

Late afternoon we'll arrive in Pokhara Airport and be transferred to our hotel by the lake.

Day 5 - Monday 13 October 2025

Pokhara – Astam – Hyangjakot – Dhampus (B, L, D)

For the next 4 days / 3 nights we will be exploring the foothills of the gorgeous Himalayan Annapurna Range. We will be staying at small teahouses with local families, enjoying their hospitality and kindness, eating organic produce from their gardens and seeing and experiencing authentic village life in Nepal – from milking a buffalo to cooking with the women if we’d like!  

Every night we’ll sleep in a different teahouse “trekking style”. Every morning there’s a new mountain view over the snow caps and a fresh mountain path to follow to our next destination. Walks from one village to another are easy to moderate (2-4hrs) with generous breaks and lunch in between. Teahouse accommodation is basic but clean, prepared for us with a lot of love - we will be welcomed as part of the family.  

All transport and permits, teahouse accommodation with full board including breakfast, lunch and dinner.

**Our mountain guide and support crew will transport luggage from guesthouse to guesthouse. We will only be carrying a light daypack with personal items such as water and snacks**

Day 8 - Thursday 16 October 2025

Return to Pokhara (B)

Return to Pokhara and enjoy the remainder of the day to relax at our resort.

Whether relaxing by the resort pool, enjoying a real coffee and cake or endless shopping, Phewa Lakeside is a heaven for
leisure seekers and tourists alike where we can do as much or as little as we wish.

Day 9 - Friday 17 October 2025

Pokhara (B, L, D)

This morning we choose our adventure - Boating across the serene Phewa Lake to climb up to the World Peace Pagoda, another impressive Buddhist Stupa overlooking Lakeside and the Annapurna Mountain range (moderate to hard, approx. 1hr). Views on a clear day over the Annapurna are magnificent.  Alternatively take a return bus to visit the World Peace Pagoda, or the return boat trip across Phewa Lake only without the hike component. Return to our resort for lunch.

The afternoon is free to relax at our resort.  Perhaps enjoy a rejuvenating treatment at the Jiva Spa (extra cost)

Dinner tonight included at a local restaurant.

Day 10 - Saturday 18 October 2025

Pokhara – Bhalam – Chitwan National Park (B,L,D)

Happy Diwali!

Enjoy leisurely breakfast before hitting the road towards Chitwan National Park (4-6hrs drive with comfort stops) We will enjoy lunch en-route and enjoy the changing views along the way. During the journey we visit the Wind of Change International Scholarship Headquarters and Maya Montessori in the village of Bhalam.

We arrive late afternoon into Chitwan National Park and our luxurious jungle lodge to enjoy Diwali celebrations with the indigenous Tharu people

Day 11 - Sunday 19 October 2025

Chitwan National Park (B,L,D)

Wake up to the jungle vibes around us. Today we explore the wildlife at Chitwan National Park with a chance to spot rhinos, elephants, bears, birds, crocodiles – even tigers.

After a busy day of safaring  experience sunset on the Narayani River and watch the wildlife around us become more active as the evening slowly sets.

Day 12 - Monday 20 October 2025

Chitwan National Park - Patan, Kathmandu (B,D)

This morning we have the option to enjoy activities in the national park before our midday transfer to Bharatpur Airport for an afternoon flight to Kathmandu.


Today is the 3rd day of Diwali Festival – a day when Nepalese invite Goddess Laxmi into their homes with beautiful rangolis made of
plentiful colours, lights and lots of love.

We arrive in the afternoon into the ancient city of Patan, where a whole world of impressive royal buildings, ancient temples, monuments and arts will greet us in one of the most ancient royal kingdoms of Nepal. We are lucky to be staying right in the heart of Patan, only a few minutes’ walk from the Durbar Square (a UNESCO World Heratige Site)  where we will be able to admire and appreciate the architecture and learn about the history. 

This evening we enjoy a farewell dinner on the best rooftop in town overlooking the impressive ancient Newari temples, what a way to celebrate our amazing Nepal Adventure.

Day 13 - Tuesday 21 October 2025

Patan – Thamel – Depart for Home (B, D, Meals in flight)

This morning we will wake up surrounded by the beautiful Newari architecture of our 150-year-old family-owned heritage home in Patan before heading to Thamel to spend the final day in the shopping, entertainment and food Mecca (or should we say “Shree”) of Kathmandu. This afternoon is your oyster to do whatever we feel like on the day – whether it’s relaxing in a spa or souvenir shopping madly.  Later enjoy our last supper and say our final Namaste to Nepal.

A large dayroom for the group to share at Kathmandu Guest House is available for luggage storage, resting and showers before our late evening flight home.

Day 14 - Wednesday 22 October 2025
