Day 1 - Friday 13 October 2017
Melbourne - Hong Kong (Meals Inflight)
Welcome to Sisterhood Womens Travel. Meet your fellow travellers at the Melbourne Airport for your flight to Hong Kong. Sit back, relax and enjoy the airline hospitality as we head towards our next adventure. Upon arrival into Hong Kong we'll be transferred to our centrally located hotel for check in. With free time for the remainder of the day. A perfect time to begin your exploring. Hong Kong is one of the most dynamic cities in the world, a living fusion of East and West and over the next 6 days you'll have a great balance of sightseeing and free time to get the most out your holiday. Accommodation - The Eaton (or similar).
Day 2 - Saturday 14 October 2017
Hong Kong (B) Hong Kong Tour
Whether this is your first visit to Hong Kong or you're returning to refresh old memories, our Hong Kong Island half day tour is a great way to get to know Hong Kong Island, it's history and its famous landmarks. During our tour our knowledgable guide will take us to see multiple Hong Kong highlights including Victoria Peak, Aberdeen Fishing Village and Stanley Market (let the bargaining begin!)! (This tour may be shared sightseeing). With an afternoon at leisure to explore, we'll regroup and enjoy dinner nearby our hotel.
Day 3 - Sunday 15 October 2017
Hong Kong (B,L) Big Buddha Tour - Lantau Island
Today we'll embark on a full day tour to Lantau Island and the Giant Buddha. We'll ferry across to Lantau Island and board a coach to the beautiful Cheun Sha Beach - Hong Kong's largest beach. From here we'll head to the unique Tai O fishing village where we'll see local fisherman homes built on stilts. We'll continue up a winding mountain road to Ngong Ping Plateau where the majestic Tian Tan Buddha sits near the Po Lin Monastery. Known as the Big Buddha or Giant Buddha the statue reaches 34 metres high making it the world's largest seated outdoor Buddha. We'll enjoy a traditional vegeatrian meal at the Monastery. Our tour concludes with a descent down the mountain aboard the Ngong Ping 360 sky rail cable car where amazing panoramic views can be enjoyed. This is a full day tour and upon our return we'll enjoy dinner nearby our hotel.
Day 4 - Monday 16 October 2017
Hong Kong (B) Free Day
Today a completely free day to explore. For Disneyland fans you might like to visit Hong Kong Disneyland or you might like to visit the beautiful Peninsula Hotel for a delicious High Tea (first in best dressed). If you've come with a shopping list and runners are a high priority head to Fa Yuen Street in Mong Kok. Known as 'sneaker street' it has the largest collection of sports stores possibly on the planet! If you love markets you can't go past the Ladies Market on Tung Choi Street, offering all sorts of clothing, handbags, wallets, watches, purses, electronics and more or nearby our hotel the Temple Street Night Market where in addition to food stalls, you'll find fortune tellers, street performers and a myriad of dining options. Tonight we'll regroup, and share our day's experiences during dinner. After dinner we'll make our way up to the trendy Felix Bar on the 28th floor of the Peninsula Hotel for a drink and the most spectacular views over the Harbour.
Day 5 - Tuesday 17 October 2017
Hong Kong (B) Free Day or Optional Shenzhen Tour
Another free day or you might like to take an OPTIONAL Shenzhen Lifestyle Tour. You'll take in stunning views as your travel by train through Hong Kong's New Territories, crossing the China border into Shenzhen one of the fastest growing cities in the world. Observe the locals practising Tai Chi at Lichi Park and shop for souvenirs at the sprawling (and massive!) Lo Wu Mall. We'll visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum and return back to Hong Kong late afternoon. This is an early 6.45am start and you will need to take your passport - $185 per person *Subject to availability - please book at time of booking tour.
Day 6 - Wednesday 18 October 2017
Hong Kong to Macau (B)
Today we'll check out of our hotel and transfer by ferry to Macau to enjoy our last night! Often touted as the "Vegas of the East", Macau is famous for it's bright lights and gambling. Today Macau thrives on old-meets-new characteristics, its recent additions complementing the peninsula's historic legacies, now protect by UNESCO World Heritage Status. Lovingly restored colonial architectural designs such as
Barra Square, Lilau Square, Senado Square and the Ruins of St Paul's are the pride of Macau as is the most photographed A-Ma temple on the waterfront. The remainder of the day is free to explore and discover the growing number of sophisticated shopping centres, ritzy hotels and restaurants. For any foodies on tour there are 19 michelin starred restaurants in Macau so bring out the Masterchef in you and enjoy! Tonight we'll regroup and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. Day 7 - Thursday 19 October 2017
Macau - Hong Kong - Melbourne (B)
Mid Morning we'll check out and make our way by ferry to the Hong Kong airport to begin our flight home. With bags multiplying we'll check in and depart for Melbourne mid afternoon. Sit back and reminicise with new friends about a great adventure shared.
