Upon our early morning arrival we’ll be met and transferred to our accommodation to store our luggage with time to freshen up and have a coffee. We'll then depart with our specialist tour guide to enjoy a morning tour of Soweto. Soweto represents the hard-fought struggle against apartheid. We will look beyond the bloody legend of the 16 June 1976 uprising and behind the hardened face of resistance politics, to the core of Soweto - its people. Soweto is about people leading their lives - working and commuting, celebrating and grieving. See the poverty of an informal settlement shack and a hostel in contrast with the upper class suburb of Diepkloof in Soweto. Our tour promises a warm experience of this fascinating place. Afterwards we’ll check into our hotel before an afternoon at leisure. Our hotel is located within the Johannesburg Airport and Casino complex with plenty of eateries, shops and entertainment to enjoy. Overnight: Peermont Mondior Emperors Palace
