Day 2 - Friday 18 March 2016
(B)
This morning after breakfast we’ll take the short walk to the Powerhouse Museum in Darling Harbour to visit Collette Dinnigan’s “Unlaced” exhibition exploring the work of the one of Australia’s most internationally acclaimed designers. Featuring ensembles, accessories and archival material from the Museum’s collections and Collette’s personal collection, this exhibition presents her signature lace and embellished designs in a series of striking theme sets. Famous celebrities who have sought Collette’s romantic, feminine designs include Taylor Swift, Dit Von Teese and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. After our visit the remainder of the day is at leisure. You are free to explore and as Sydney is a very easy city to walk around you will be spoilt for choice with areas to concentrate on. You could take a ferry to Manly to enjoy lunch at one of the many beachside cafes or if you’d prefer to stay close to the hotel, the famous Paddy’s markets are only across the way, reminding Melbournians of the famous Victoria Markets with their host of stalls, souvenirs and lunch options. For the more adventurous how about the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb? Speaking from experience this is a once in a lifetime experience. For those more arty, the Art Gallery of New South Wales offers free entry and houses works of art by Picasso and Matisse. Why not wander down to Circular Quay and people watch, enjoy the beautiful views of Sydney Harbour or take a tour of the Sydney Opera House. Happy to point you in any direction to further enjoy your Sydney adventure. Tonight we’ll regroup at our hotel and enjoy dinner together at a local restaurant to chat and catch up with the day’s experiences.
Day 3 - Saturday 19 March 2016
(B,D)
Today we’ll make use of the public transport system to get us to Paddington to visit one of Sydney’s most iconic markets – The Paddington Markets where many a fashion designer has been discovered. Over 150 fashion, art, jewellery and homeware stalls are on offer with an international food court to tempt our taste buds. Another afternoon at leisure before we regroup tonight for a night to remember onboard Sydney’s most popular dinner cruiseboats. The Sydney Showboat offers a unique dining experience that combines Sydney Harbour cruising with a 3-course seated and served menu and a fabulously flamboyant live show featuring the best of Australian talent. This will be a great night!
Day 4 - Sunday 20 March 2016

This morning after breakfast and our hotel check out we’ll visit the historic Rocks precinct and their Sunday Markets. What makes a great market? If it’s about passionate people selling things you’ll love in a cool, relaxed environment then The Rocks Markets is one of Sydney’s greatest. Where else can you buy dresses and bags designed by the stallholder, one-off jewellery, original artworks and prints, in a place where you can feel the sun on your face and catch glimpses of the gorgeous harbour? After our browse and exploration of one of Sydney’s most historical areas, we complete our Sydney showstopper mini break with a visit and lunch (own cost) to Bondi one of the most recognisable beaches in the world. “Water breaking over rocks” is the aboriginal meaning of this heritage listed beach. With time to wander or people watch an area where many a famous person has been spotted, our getaway comes to an end with our transfer back to the Sydney Airport for our early afternoon flight back to Melbourne. Thank you for joining Sisterhood Womens Travel for your latest adventure and we look forward to welcoming you back.
