Day 2 - Sunday 2 February 2025

Bangkok (B, L)

Meet up with the guide today at the hotel’s lobby and transfer to visit Wat Ratchabophit, where the temple of King Rama V reigns. Here we can see the beauty of buildings, combining Thai and Western architectural designs.

Then we will visit Wat Suthat Thepwararam, which was built during the reign of King Rama I. Moreover, we will learn how to pay respect to the Buddha image and learn to make merit by monk's offering as well.

After that, we will do the Buddhist activities at Wat Theptidaram by starting with meditation for 15 minutes, then learn more about the Buddhist way of life by monk chatting. The last stop will be at a local café, where we will eat lunch.

Later, we'll ride Tuk Tuks back to the hotel.

Day 3 - Monday 3 February 2025

Bangkok (B, L)

This morning, we'll embark on a captivating tour through the charming alleys of 'Bang Lamphu', a historic community nestled within the enchanting Rattanakosin Island. One of the highlights of Bang Lamphu is the mesmerizing costumes worn in royal 'Khon' performances, which showcase the exquisite artistry of local master artisans. As we stroll along the route behind Phra Sumen Fort, we'll have the opportunity to tantalize our taste buds with a rare Thai dessert known as 'Kao Tom Nam Woon'. Delight in the flavors of pyramid-shaped sticky rice infused with syrup, expertly wrapped in banana leaves. It's a delectable treat that reflects the culinary heritage of the community.

Continuing the journey, we'll delve into the fascinating history of Thai coins at the Coin Museum. Gain insights into the evolution of currency in Thailand and marvel at the collection of coins on display. Learn about the stories and significance behind these precious artifacts, further deepening our understanding of Thai culture. This tour through Bang Lamphu promises a delightful blend of cultural immersion, culinary delights, and historical exploration. We'll immerse ourselves in the vibrant tapestry of this enchanting community, where the old and the new harmoniously coexist, creating a truly memorable experience.

Arriving into Sukhothai, we'll transfer to check-in the hotel by private minivan and have the remainder of the day at leisure.

Ban Na Ton Chan is known for its folk wisdom, expressed in their mud fabrics famous for their super silky texture, as well as their bar hanging dolls invented to exercise the hand muscles and is enjoyed among health junkies, kids and the elderly.

Lunch will be served in the community. We can also walk around the village and enjoy some activities: the weaving process, riding a tractor, going to green paddies, bar hanging dolls and watching the sunset.

Day 7 - Friday 7 February 2025

Chiang Mai (B, L)

This morning, after breakfast at the hotel we'll have a fun cooking experience with a local family. Of course, it's not a commercial cooking class, but we'll get to know the culture, the way of living, and plenty of Thai herbs. We will experience a typical day in the life of Thai people, just real home cooking in a real Thai neighborhood. Join the family car and transfer 20 minutes to Hang Dong to spend the day with our 'Thai family.

We'll discover the architecture of traditional Thai houses and rice barns. Our Thai family will also show us their basket to garden, family orchards, and select fresh ingredients to add to the day's cooking extravaganza. We will learn to cook traditional home-cooked recipes with authentic Northern Thai flavors which are different from standard dishes offered in commercial cooking classes. Best of all, we will have the opportunity to get to know a real Thai family and be their house guests for the day. Enjoy a delicious home-cooked lunch with our family (cooked together) and lunch at the house owner then return to downtown.
